The 12.000 seater national arena, The SSE
Hydro, was completed in September 2013. A host of stars are
playing there and an international reputation has developed.
The Scottish Exhibition and
Conference Centre (SECC) is Scotland's national venue
for public events and the UK's largest integrated exhibition
and conference centre. The current economic impact of the SECC is
£347million per annum with 1.5 million visitors a year.
The SSE Hydro is the latest addition to the facilities at SECC.
The 12,000 seat arena, which was
completed in 2013, is the only one of its scale in the UK
built specifically for concerts, conferences and
events.
Other recent leisure developments include a new casino,
hotel and cinema complex at Springfield Quay.
