Location:

Pacific Quay & SECC, Finnieston

Description:

This is 11 acre urban business park will provide 500,000 ft² of office space and other facilities with approximately 1000 car parking spaces.

Phase 1 of the development on the site of the former headquarters of the Scottish Daily Record, was completed in 1998.

Phase 2, at 2 Central Quay, was completed in 2002 and comprises new offices which have been leased to ACCA, NHS Education & GE.

Planning permission was given in February 2007 for Phase 3 of the development which will see a new headquarters building, a further office building and a hotel. The buildings will be arranged around a central landscaped area which will link to Anderston Quay and the waterfront.

Akeler who developed phases 1 and 2 has now been integrated into Goodman who will take forward future phases of the development.

In 2011 Goodman acquired the Bilsland Bakery building and this will be incorporated into new schemes which are being developed by Keppie design.

The new masterplan brought forward in 2011 is for the remaining 7 acres of land.

Flexibility is the key word and potential clients will be offered new buildings ranging in size from 30,000 to 250,000 ft², with basement car parking.

Phase 1 and Phase 2 are complete. Planning permission has been given for phase 3, 3-5 Central Quay. Masterplan currently under review.

Timescale:

Phase 3 2012 onwards

£200 million (all three phases)
