West Dunbartonshire Council is ahead of its ambitious target of creating 1,000 jobs in 1,000 days, with 658 jobs created just 450 days into the campaign.
In May 2012, the Council approved exciting new plans to create
jobs, help people access training, and support local businesses.
It is investing more that £3 million for ambitious plans to
kick start the local economy.
The aim of the new Job Investment and Growth Framework was to
establish 1,000 new job opportunities for local residents in a
number of ways including getting more people into work,
increasing the Council's modern apprentice schemes and providing
training opportunities.
