Jury's Inn Glasgow, which is located close to Central Station in the heart of the city, is to undergo a £3m refurbishment.
The 321-bed hotel, Scotland's largest by room numbers, expects
to complete the overhaul in March next year.
Every room is getting new carpets, furniture, artwork and
bathroom facilities, with the work being done in blocks.
Rooms on the 10th and 11th floors of the city centre site, open
since 2003, are being converted into higher specification executive
class spaces to appeal to corporate customers with benefits such as
free wifi and late checkouts.
The hotel, which employs 75 people, has also upgraded its
conference hosting floor, and bar and restaurant offering.
