Description:
The new Plean Street Centre for Health and Care provides improved podiatry services, together with dental surgeries, community health education services, and enhanced accommodation for district nurse and oral health teams. Organised over 3 floors, with lift access, all the new accommodation will benefit from full DDA compliance enabling dental practices currently in non-compliant premises to relocate, thus reaching a larger section of community.
The location on busy Dumbarton Road makes this an important new community facility.
A large projecting glazed screen addressing Plean Street opens onto the public waiting areas over two floors, providing both southerly views out and visually opening the building up to the community.
The entrance area to the new carpark opens through a double height entrance lobby, with a glazed screen to the staff accommodation above.
