Description:

In November 2013 is was announced that a £20m hotel will be built on the corner of Argyle Street and Oswald Street.  The Motel One development will be 9 Storey's high and have more than 370 rooms.  It will have a distinctive glass shape and is described as "budget boutique".  Building work will begin next week and will open in Summer 2015.  Once completed the hotel will be the largest in Scotland.

Evolution at 80 Oswald Street was to have been a new office and retail development by Buccluech Property.

The development has a highly prominent position in Glasgow's International Financial Services District, adjacent to Central Station.

Current status:

Planning approval has been granted for 370 + bedroom hotel.  Work to start in 2014.
