Expo success

Around 150 delegates from across the UK and overseas attended last week's Waterfront Expo event, hosted at Glasgow's Crowne Plaza Hotel. Scotland's three city waterfront regeneration projects all featured at the event together with international case studies.

The two day conference focused on the experience of the Edinburgh, Dundee and Clyde Waterfront regeneration projects as well as on lessons learned from  Barcelona, Marseille, Chicago and Yokohama.

The WaterfrontExpo 2011 Scotland conference & exhibition supported by Clyde Waterfront, Dundee Waterfront, the City of Edinburgh Council and Glasgow City Council, the is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, SECC Glasgow.

What happened?

The busy event included presentations, case studies, a civic reception, a trip on the Clyde and visits to the Dundee and Edinburgh regeneration projects.

There was plenty of reason to focus on Clyde Waterfront at the Expo, including presentations on major city centre developments, commercial propery and exciting progress downriver.

The Expo was an opportunity for major announcements about progress along the Clyde, resulting in important coverage in the press.

This was the eighth WaterfrontExpo conference and second to be held in Scotland, prompted by the extensive waterfront regeneration in the three Scottish cities since 2006, when it was last held in Glasgow.
