River Clyde the star in Rat Race

The Riverside Rat Race attracted over 700 enthusiastic participants to take on a series of challenges around the River Clyde in the centre of Glasgow on Sunday.

The River Clyde's star attractions became the challenges in a 10k urban run with extras that included kayaking in the river, walking the plank off the Glenlee tall ship, a snow-crawl and an obstacle course on the Finnieston Crane.

The hundreds of runners have taken part in Glasgow's first adventure race on the banks of the Clyde.

The Riverside Rat Race, which was organised by Rat Race Urban Adventure and See Glasgow.

More than 700 people ran the 10km-route, starting and finishing at the new Riverside Museum.

It involved kayaking in the river, walking the plank off the Glenlee tall ship, a snow-crawl and an obstacle course on the Finnieston Crane.
