Editworks Scotland opens at the Hub

16 Jun 2010

Leading UK post-production house, Editworks, has opened its new company – Editworks Scotland – at The Hub @ Pacific Quay, Glasgow's centre for digital media and design.

Editworks post-produces a host of well-known TV programmes including Who Wants to be a Millionaire and its new Glasgow facility will post-produce quiz show Eggheads, In It To Win It, and Who Dares Wins, as well as other programmes made in Scotland.

The firm will take 1,732 sq.ft. at the waterfront building, which is now 60% let, joining other high-profile creative organisations including Shed Media and The Digital Design Studio. Editworks Scotland's new facility will offer six Avid editing suites, audio post and colour grading.

The firm's expansion is a major commitment to Glasgow with an investment of £200K and will see it forging links with local production companies as well as providing employment and training to local talent.

Completed in February 2009 and offering flexible amounts of space from 127 ft² upwards - as well as flexible leases that will suit both larger companies and individual operators - The Hub's ethos is all about building a 'seriously creative community' at the heart of the new Digital Media Quarter on the banks of the River Clyde.

Editworks Scotland will move to The Hub with immediate effect, with a formal launch planned for late summer.
