Clyde Clipper

17 Sep 2009

The Clyde Clipper had a maiden voyage with a difference as it took on board a model bride and groom and sailed down the River Clyde.

Mhairi Cairnduff and Gerard Martin were appropriately dressed as Clyde Cruises' new love boat lifted anchor. The boat will be officially launched at this weekend's Scottish Wedding Show.

The models will also be wearing their outfits at the show.

Mhairi's 1920s-style gown was designed by Lindsay Fleming and comes complete with cloche hat from Baba-C designs, while Gerard wore black evening tails, courtesy of Slaters Menswear.

The show will bring together more than 300 specialist wedding companies, who will showcase everything needed for the big day.

As well as clothes and jewellery, there will be cake makers, stationers, make-up and a range of free beauty treatments.

A fashion show will be staged five times a day and will feature models and the largest selection of bridal wear in Scotland.

Tickets, £11 at the door, and further information is available by calling 0141 587 6088 or at the website:
