Location:

Greater Govan & Glasgow Harbour, Glasgow Harbour

Description:

The commercial district at Glasgow Harbour will provide high quality accommodation in a beautiful new urban setting close to the river. The development of the commercial district alongside retail and leisure facilities will allow a community to develop where people can choose to live, work and relax without having to commute. The site is located very close to the Riverside Museum.

Outline planning permission has been granted for a mixed use development comprising  office, leisure, commercial, education, bars / restaurants, hotel and residential floorspace together with public open space, associated access, servicing, infrastructure, parking and landscaping.

Situated between the residential and retail areas, the commercial developments will all have a waterfront location and be easy to reach from Partick Station.

Glasgow Harbour is a 130-acre, high-quality mixed-use development on the west end of Glasgow waterfront.  It is one of the flagship projects of the Clyde Waterfront regeneration. The regeneration of this extensive brownfield site, at an estimated cost of £1.2 billion has hugely beneficial economic, tourist and social implications for both Glasgow and Scotland as a whole.

Current status:

Enabling works have been carried out, the site is now serviced and ready for development. Planning in principle granted by Glasgow City Council November 2009.

Cost:

£100m
