Titan Crane and John Brown's Shipyard

This lesson plan explores the changes in use of the Titan Crane and John Brown's Shipyard and its impact on the local community - from late 1800's to early 21st Century.  Pupils will use cross curricular approaches to discover through the various subject areas the impact of shipbuilding on the local community and its demise and change of use of the site through urban regeneration.  They will produce work to exhibit or display in a variety of formats for locals and visitors to the area.  Examples include creative writing, poetry, newspaper reporting,  music, drama, art products.
